Mission Tomorrow is an interactive experience hosted by ChamberRVA and Junior Achievement of Central Virginia that introduces 8th graders to a variety of career opportunities in Central Virginia. Students can interact with volunteers from local companies and see connections between these careers and high school program options.
We have been assigned a window to participate in, from 10:30am to 12:30pm on Thursday, November 12th. This will require that we alter the 8th grade bell schedule for the day, and adaptations have been made to not impact the other grade levels. Unfortunately, to do so means that 8th graders will not participate in 7th period Electives and Health & PE on November 12th.
|8:30am – 8:40am||Advisory|
|8:45am – 9:30am||5th Period|
|9:35am – 10:20am||6th Period|
|10:25am – 12:30pm||Mission Tomorrow|
|12:30pm – 12:55pm||Lunch|
|1:00pm – 2:00pm||8th Period|
Most 8th grade students will stay in their 6th period class for the duration of this program. Students who attend a class that is taught by a teacher who covers multiple grade-levels that day will be forwarded to a Teams session run by Mr. Lewis or another available teacher.
Students are still required to turn in all work due in the Elective or Health & PE class they are missing.
Please contact the 8th grade School Counselor, Mr. Lewis, with any questions you may have.
