The campus of Elko Middle School is located on Elko School Road, which is off of Elko Road. There is one single point of entry on and off school grounds. The bus loop is separate from the main parking lot for parents, visitors and staff. There is a designated pickup and drop-off area located in the main parking lot.

The school building officially opens at 8:05 a.m. The warning bell rings at 8:30 a.m., and the tardy bell rings at 8:35 a.m. The school day ends at 3:15 p.m.

Parents, visitors and staff make the second right turn into the designated parking lot. There are no designated parking spaces for parents and visitors, so they can park in any available space. Staff members usually park at the opposite end of the parking lot closest to the bus loop. Staff members have a designated entrance to enter the school; they use swipe cards to enter the doors.

Signs are posted in the parking lot to direct parents to the drop-off and pick-up areas. Parents may drop off and pick up students at the main entrance of the school. They need to pull up as far as they can by the sidewalk to drop off and pick up students. As soon as students exit or enter their vehicles, parents must pull off and leave the school grounds; they are not permitted to park in the fire lane. Signs are posted at the drop-off/pick-up area to inform parents that they are not permitted to drop off students prior to 8 a.m. because there is no supervision.

When school bus drivers enter the parking lot, they make the first right turn, which leads directly to the bus loop. A sign is posted to direct bus drivers to the bus loop.
