Dr. Lyles has more than 22 years of experience in education. He has provided solid leadership in rural, urban, suburban, small, and large school divisions as an educator, administrator, principal, and director.
Dr. Lyles’s most recent position was the Director of Student Support Services for Petersburg City Public Schools. Before that, he was the principal of Darnell Cookman School of the Medical Arts, Matthew Gilbert Middle, and Northwestern Middle School in Duval County Public Schools of Jacksonville, Florida. He has worked as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal in King William, Essex, Chesterfield, and Richmond Public Schools. He has three children and is an avid sports fan. Lastly, his passion is working in middle school education, and he is excited about joining the Elko community.
