I hope you are enjoying your summer. HCPS is once again partnering with the Richmond/Henrico Health District to offer Tdap, HPV and MenACWY vaccines during the summer. Elko Middle School is hosting an event on August 7, 2025, from 9:00 am-12:00 noon.
What vaccines will be offered?
MenACWY vaccine: This vaccine is required for students entering seventh and 12th grade. Only rising seventh and 12th grade students may receive vaccinations during summer clinics.
Tdap vaccine: This vaccine is required for students entering seventh grade. Students ages 11 or older may be vaccinated.
HPV vaccine: Students ages 11 or older may be vaccinated. Parents and guardians may elect for their children not to receive the HPV vaccine. This decision is at the sole discretion of each parent or guardian.
What do parents and guardians need to know?
-Students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
-Parents or guardians should bring an insurance card if they have one.
-Parents and guardians should bring an ID.
-Parents and guardians must complete a consent form for each participating student, either at the clinic location or ahead of time.
