Quantina Jackson-Associcate Principal
Ms. Quantina T. Jackson brings 15 years of experience as an educator, trainer, facilitator, and school leader. She spent eight years teaching English at both the middle and high school levels and has held multiple administrative roles in Henrico County and Chesterfield County. In addition, she has served as a Professional Development Facilitator with Virginia Commonwealth University and as a Content Facilitator for Virtual Virginia. Across all of these roles, she has remained committed to one core belief: delivering high‑quality instruction and providing meaningful education and resources that support the success of all students. Ms. Jackson holds degrees from Virginia Union University, Virginia Commonwealth University, and Longwood University.
Dr. Sharne Francis-Associate Principal
My name is Dr. Sharne' Francis and I am excited to join you as one of the new Associate Principals at the NEST. I am deeply connected to East End Henrico County Public Schools as both an educator and PROUD graduate of Highland Springs High School...GO SPRINGERS! I earned my Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Math/Science Education from Old Dominion University, my Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership, and recently completed my Doctor of Educational Leadership degree from Liberty University. Over the past several years, I have served the educational community in a variety of roles, including Assistant Principal, Division Instructional Coach, Math Coach, Administrative Aide, Grant Coordinator, and Classroom Teacher. My experiences have included leading school quality reform, culture and climate initiatives, overseeing dropout prevention and attendance efforts, managing numerous instructional departments, supporting professional development, coordinating engagement efforts, and strengthening student achievement through data-driven instruction. I have taught both middle and high school Math and Science, including serving as a former Math teacher at Rolfe Middle School. Some interesting facts about me are that I am a former Highland Springs High School Cheerleading Coach, and I currently live in and have the privilege of serving in the same community that helped shape who I am today. I am deeply committed to building strong, meaningful relationships with students, staff, families, and the broader community, and I believe those relationships partnered with strong systems are the foundation for student success. I am passionate about creating safe, supportive, and high-expectation environments where all students can thrive. Outside of school, I value spending time with my husband and beautiful girls, traveling the world, playing sports, physical fitness, fashion and music. Let's make this a year of continued growth, success and fun TOGETHER!
Blake Carrey-Assistant Principal
Born on the island of Guam and holding dual citizenship with both the United States and Great Britain, my journey has always been shaped by unique perspectives. Professionally, that journey began at Hampden-Sydney College, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in English and Rhetoric. Driven by a passion for teaching and leadership, I later attended the University of Richmond, where I obtained a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. Throughout my career in education, I have had the privilege of teaching English across multiple grade levels, guiding students through the foundational years of 7th and 8th-grade ELA, navigating them through 9th grade, and challenging them at the highest levels with AP Literature. Today, I bring that extensive classroom experience to school leadership, proudly serving as the Assistant Principal at Powhatan High School. Outside of school, my world centers around my family. I live in Henrico with my wife, Caylee, our two sons, Fulton and Cortland, and our energetic husky, Rhett.
